Awareness program in Higher Secondary Schools of Thimphu

The Hon’ble Chairperson of the National Commission for Women and Children, Lyonpo Dorji Choden met with students of class XI and XII of Yangchenphu Higher Secondary School and Motithang Higher Secondary School on September 4th, 2015. Officials of the NCWC Secretariat accompanied Hon’ble Lyonpo. During the meeting the NCWC team discussed on women and child protection issues in Bhutan, reminded the children of their responsibilities and sought their views on the situation of women and children in Bhutan. Simultaneously, another team from NCWC Secretariat met with students of the same level at the Kelki Higher Secondary School.
